Our client is a well-established and reputable clothing manufacturer based in Pretoria. With a strong presence in the industry, they specialize in high-quality apparel production and are committed to operational excellence. They are currently seeking a Financial Manager to lead their finance team and oversee all financial operations.
As the Financial Manager, you will play a critical role in managing the company's financial health. You will lead a team of approximately six staff members and report directly to the Managing Director.
Salary: Negotiable between R60 000 - R80 000 per month, depending on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial accounts for audit purposes. (Signing off is not required, but the ability to prepare comprehensive accounts is essential.)
Accounting Functions: Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
System Management: Proficiently utilize SAP and Sage VIP for financial operations.
Manufacturing Costing: Develop and maintain a strong understanding of costing models specific to clothing manufacturing.
Financial Management: Provide strategic financial advice and support to the Managing Director.
Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the accounting team, ensuring strong financial discipline.
Audit Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors.
Financial Controls: Implement and maintain strong internal financial controls.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets and financial projections.
Qualifications
and Experience:
Proven experience as a Financial Manager within a manufacturing environment (preferably in the clothing or textile industry).
Strong understanding of manufacturing costing principles.
Proficiency in SAP and Sage VIP systems.
Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and financial best practices.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
A relevant financial degree or qualification.
