Job Description


Pretoria North - Gauteng: My client, a national leader in the Food Science Industry, is looking to appoint an energetic and motivated Financial Manager. If you're passionate about working in a dynamic and innovation-driven environment, this opportunity offers a chance to lead financial operations with purpose and precision.Purpose of the Role: To ensure all financial operations are conducted with accuracy, regulatory compliance and ethical integrity. The role requires maintaining and refining financial systems, policies, and controls while leading a finance team committed to operational efficiency and financial excellence.Key Responsibilities Include but Are Not Limited To:

  • Manage financial operations and ensure compliance with IFRS and internal controls
  • Develop, implement, and oversee financial policies and reporting procedures
  • Review and ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and statutory compliance
  • Prepare financial statements and coordinate the external audit process
  • Monitor procurement processes and maintain proper supplier and contract controls
  • Manage tax, CIPC, and BEE certification compliance and planning
  • Lead, support, and develop the finance team to enhance business integration and efficiency
Qualifications | Experience | Criteria:
  • BCom degree in Accounting
  • Completed SAIPA or CA(SA) articles
  • Minimum one-year post-articles experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong background in Food Manufacturing or Agricultural industry
  • Knowledge and experience in inventory control and management
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a finance team
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of BBBEE compliance is advantageous
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans (read, write, speak)
  • Financial analysis and strategic reporting to support decision-making
  • Budget preparation and long-term financial forecasting
  • Risk identification, assessment, and mitigation strategies
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulatory compliance standards
  • Excellent problem-solving and financial decision-making under pressure
