Job Description

FINANCIAL:
1. Primary responsibility is ensuring financial effectiveness by providing leadership to the
finance department. Ensuring efficient processes and systems are implemented to enable
effective company operations.
2. Team management and ad hoc training - 6 direct reports
3. Engage proactively with the various team members of the group, providing financial
acumen and sound advice.
4. Full liaison and responsibility for relationship building with suppliers and service providers:
a. Bank
b. Auditors
c. Legal
d. Consultants
e. Insurers
5. Assist in the assessment of return-on-investment calculations for maximising shareholder
return. This requires the monitoring of new ventures, provisional of capital for growth areas
and enabling the group strategy.
6. Financial analysis in such areas as forecasting, budgeting, engaging in cost management
analysis, and reviewing operational performance.
7. Manage the preparation and approval of the groups budget
8. Produce accurate management accounts for all entities monthly, including 3 international
companies and consolidated accounts - 10 entities - 1 in Kenya, 1 in Ghana and 1 in USA
9. Effectively manage the cross-border transactions, which includes imports, exports and 3
international companies.
10. Management of cross company charges and recoveries, compliance with SLAs
11. Cashflow management, supported by debtors credit management
12. Monitoring and oversight of the group financial position.
IT RELATED DUTIES
13. Management of the IT environment through the external service provider
14. Maintaining ERP system and associated processes
CORPORATE GOVERNANCE
15. Serve as the Group Company Secretary and assist the board with corporate governance
implementation
16. Ensure statutory compliance by maintaining statutory records
GENERAL
17. Assist in the delivery of the Group strategic goals and implementing financial solutions that
enable such.
18. Deliver to all stakeholders of the group with a Build for Better attitude

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Post Graduate qualification Honours in Accounting (BCompt)
CIMA qualification required
10 years Managerial experience;
Corporate Finance experience;
Financial Analysis experience
Experience working with ERP packages, preference given to Syspro 8

Salary - up to R900 000pa CTC
