An established industrial and production organisation based in Langlaagte, near the Johannesburg CBD, is seeking a strong and capable Financial Manager to join their finance team. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a solid accounting background, strong stock experience, and the ability to operate confidently in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will hold a BCom degree, with completed articles considered highly beneficial. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Financial Manager role is required. The business environment is demanding, and the position calls for someone with a bold, assertive personality who can take ownership of the finance function and support operational decision-making.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full financial function, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Manage stock, inventory processes, and cost controls within a production environment.
- Prepare financial reports, management accounts, and analysis.
- Maintain strong financial controls and drive process improvements.
- Support operational teams and provide strategic financial insights.
- Lead and guide the finance team to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Liaise with auditors, stakeholders, and senior management.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BCom Accounting qualification required (articles beneficial).
- Minimum 3+ years' experience in a Financial Manager role.
- Industrial or production industry experience advantageous.
- Strong stock management experience essential.
- Confident, assertive personality with the ability to lead under pressure.
- Able to work full-time on-site in Langlaagte, Johannesburg
