As the Financial Operations Manager, you will report directly to the Regional General Manager and oversee the financial health of the business unit. You will manage all financial operations functions, lead budgeting and tax compliance processes (including VAT and gambling tax), own audit readiness, and collaborate closely with Shared Services to deliver accurate and timely reporting. A strong leadership presence and ability to implement control frameworks across departments will be key to your success.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- BCom Finance or Accounting with completed Articles
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a financial management role
- Staff management experience is essential
- Registration with a professional accounting body is advantageous
- Hospitality or gaming industry experience is a strong advantage
- Proficiency in Great Plains, MS Excel, and fixed asset systems
- Strong knowledge of SA tax (including gambling tax is beneficial)
- Effective leadership, communication, and report writing skills
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work flexible hours when needed
