Job Description
An emerging player in the fast-paced food supply and distribution sector is seeking a Finance Lead to establish and oversee the entire finance function. With national operations expanding rapidly, this organisation is poised for growth and requires a finance professional who can lay down robust systems, processes, and reporting structures.
As the Finance Lead, you will report directly to executive leadership and play a hands-on role in setting up financial frameworks, building a finance team, and implementing scalable processes. You'll drive budgeting, forecasting, statutory compliance, and internal controls from a blank slate--offering a rare opportunity to create lasting impact. Your insights will support commercial decisions, cash flow management, and profitability tracking as the business enters its next growth phase.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Qualified CA(SA)
- 8-10 years' total finance experience
- At least 3-5 years in a leadership or senior finance role
- Proven experience setting up or restructuring finance functions (start-up or scale-up experience highly advantageous)
- Strong technical accounting knowledge and systems implementation experience
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to lead, recruit, and develop a new finance team
