Duties and Responsibilities:

• Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business objectives across various project sectors.
• Budgeting & Forecasting:

• Lead annual budgeting processes and rolling forecasts.
• Monitor project-based variances and recommend corrective actions.
• Project Cost Management:

• Oversee the financial control of projects, including cost tracking, margin analysis, and profitability reporting.
• Management Reporting:

• Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to executive leadership.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management:

• Manage cash flow planning and funding needs, and ensure liquidity for operations and projects.
• Team Leadership & Development:

• Manage and mentor finance staff.
• Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Compliance & Governance:

• Ensure full compliance with IFRS, SARS regulations, and internal audit requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement:

• Collaborate closely with operational, project, and executive teams to support business growth and financial stability.
• ERP & Systems Optimization:

• Drive improvements in financial systems and processes for enhanced reporting and operational efficiency.
• Risk Management:

• Identify financial risks in projects and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Support commercial decision-making with financial insight.

Experience and Skills Required:

• Registered CA(SA)
• Minimum 5 years post-articles experience
• At least 2 years experience in a financial management role
• Strong exposure to project-based industries mining, manufacturing, construction, or engineering
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
