Job Title: Financial Manager Country: South Africa Area: Gauteng Pretoria, GP Monthly Salary: Market Related Industry: Manufacturing JOB TITLE Financial Manager MAIN JOB PURPOSE FM is responsible for the reduction of a company's financial waste and increasing profits. This is a financial specialist who determines the actual costs associated with providing a service or manufacturing a product. They accomplish this by scrutinizing all of the associated expenses within the supply chain. The purpose of cost accounting is for profitability analysis and budget preparation. REPORTS TO Managing Director COMPANY - LOCATION/SITE HQ Pretoria DIVISION/DEPARTMENT Finance Department MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIRED Bachelor's degree/ Diploma in Accounting The CIMA certificate qualification would also be beneficial MINIMUM EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED Management of a finance team is imperative Cost Accounting in a Manufacturing Environment important
Must have a strong Cost systems background and have excellent analytical skills; sound understanding of accounting principles.
Computer Literate - Strong Excel skills and the ability to use Outlook and WordExperience with SYSPRO or similar system imperative
Manage the company's various IT systems to ensure efficacy and accuracyAbility to accurately prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports
Achievement Driven (Result Driven) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Manage the planning, studying, and collecting data to determine costs of business activity such as raw material purchases, inventory and labour. Analyzing financial reports for validation Manage COS And overhead base to optimize profitability Analytical and exception reporting Managing audit process Evaluation of product and production costs Providing management with reporting to manage and optimize business results Overseeing the Month and year end close of the General Ledger Conducts physical inventories and monitors cycle count program Reconciles finished goods inventories Overseas the efficient management of cash flow, creditors and the related processeJob Type: Full-time
