The Role

This role is a senior operational finance position responsible for overseeing the full finance function across multiple diverse business entities.

Working Requirement

Start Date: Ideally December Engagement: Full-time, fixed-term (5 days per week) Schedule: Hybrid | UK/SA hours Duration: Maternity cover for 4-6 months In-Office Requirement: Minimum 2 days per week (Steyn City) Team Structure: Will manage and oversee a junior finance resource

What You Will be Doing

End-to-end operational finance across multiple business units Month-end close and management reporting Payments processing and cash-flow oversight Budgeting and forecasting using Excel and integrated tools Managing and mentoring a junior team member Communicating with principals and senior stakeholders Ensuring strong controls, accuracy, and efficient financial processes

What We are Looking For

10+ years' operational finance experience (qualification not required) Experience within operational finance, family office environments, and multi-entity structures Exposure to Guernsey accounting beneficial Strong understanding of cash management and funds movement Independent, proactive, quick learner who can operate without hand-holding Strong operational finance capacity with multi-entity experience Background in operational real estate, hospitality, or service-driven businesses Ability to work closely with principals and navigate unstructured environments High attention to detail with a strong ownership mindset Robust NetSuite (Oracle) experience (core requirement) Ability to clean up, streamline, and take charge of finance functions

NetSuite (Oracle) -- primary system and essential to the role Expensify -- corporate and personal card integration Solution 7 -- Excel budgeting plug-in for NetSuite Banking applications Microsoft Excel (modelling, budgeting, reporting)
