A reputable investment firm is seeking a skilled and experienced Financial Manager to join their team. Key Responsibilities:
The Financial Manager will be responsible for a wide range of financial and administrative duties, including:
Financial Management: Overseeing financial accounting and reporting, managing payroll and HR functions, and handling cash management, including placing funds on call. Key tasks include producing monthly management accounts, managing accounts for four small entities, and handling invoicing and debtor management.
Compliance and Reporting: Ensuring regulatory and compliance requirements are met, with experience in SARS e-filing and Easyfile for tax submissions, as well as submitting VAT returns. The role also involves submitting reports to entities like the FSCA, FASSET, and StatsSA.
Administrative and Operational Support: Assisting with office management functions, approving payments, and monitoring employee leave. The role also includes managing subscriptions and assisting with the annual audit of five entities.
Systems and Tools: The position requires proficiency in specific systems, including SAGE Pastel Express, SAGE 300, and ESS, as well as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Qualifications and Requirements:
A relevant graduate or postgraduate qualification.
At least five years of experience in a financial accountant role.
Excellent time management skills.
Knowledge of risk management and BBB-EE verification experience are highly desirable.
An ability to act confidently, a willingness to learn, and a strong sense of accountability and integrity.
