Job Description

Our client, a reputable and well established construction company, focused on medium to large scale building projects, seeks to employ a Financial Manager, with a strong background in the construction or similar sector, to join this progressive and expanding professional team in Cape Town.
Please note that this role is not suited to candidates from a commercial background but geared toward a candidate who has worked in the construction, property development or civils sector.
KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION:

You will have a BComm/Honours in Accounting or similar qualification in Finance, coupled with a professional registration with CIMA, SAIPA, or related and 5 plus years experience in financial management within a strong technical sector, with preference to those from the construction or property development sector
Your working experience will include equipment, materials and resource costing, as well as knowledge of commercial, King's Commission Law and contractual law and reporting
In addition, you will have expert working experience in taxation, VAT, insurance, auditing, balance sheet analysis, costing and union/bargaining council negotiations.
You must have a valid driver's licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
