Job Description


Financial Reporting and Compliance
Prepare, review, and submit monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with the drafting and finalisation of Annual Financial Statements in compliance with IFRS.
Ensure compliance with relevant financial, tax, and regulatory requirements.
Support external audit processes, including liaising with auditors and providing required documentation.
Budgeting and Forecasting
Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with department heads and senior leadership.
Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and insights.
Prepare rolling forecasts and assist with long-term financial planning.
Cash Flow and Treasury Management
Manage and monitor daily cash flow to ensure sufficient liquidity.
Oversee banking relationships, foreign currency transactions, and international payments.
Assist in treasury planning, including the management of short-term investments and funding strategies.
Tax and Audit Compliance
Ensure accurate and timely submission of VAT, PAYE, income tax, and other statutory returns.
Maintain readiness for internal and external audits, and address audit findings promptly.
Stay up to date with local and international tax regulations applicable to the business.
Staff and Team Management
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals.
Allocate tasks, monitor performance, and ensure continuous improvement within the finance team.
Provide guidance on accounting practices, internal controls, and finance systems.
Process Improvement and Systems Oversight
Evaluate and enhance current financial systems and processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Implement internal controls and financial governance policies.
Assist in ERP or accounting software optimization or upgrades.
Operational and Strategic Support
Collaborate with the Senior Financial Manager in providing strategic financial input to operations.
Support cross-functional teams with financial modelling and data analysis for decision-making.
Participate in commercial and operational projects that impact financial performance.
Ad Hoc Financial Projects
Take ownership of special projects such as cost-reduction initiatives, profitability analysis, or system migrations.
Support business expansion or restructuring efforts with financial insight and due diligence.Skills & Experience:
Minimum 3xe2x80x935 yearsxe2x80x99 experience in a financial management role, with staff supervision responsibilities.
Skills: Strong technical knowledge (up to drafting financial statements), analytical thinking, people management, and working knowledge of international trade, forex, and exports.
Industry Knowledge: Manufacturing experience is advantageous; exposure to international clients and export operations is a plus.Qualification:
