Position Overview: Financial Director
As a Senior Financial Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations and strategy of an organization. Your responsibilities will involve providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and contributing to the companys overall growth and profitability. You will collaborate with executive leadership, department heads, and finance teams to drive financial decision-making and optimize the companys financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Strategy:
Develop and execute the companys financial strategy in alignment with organizational goals.
Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.
Identify and evaluate potential risks and opportunities and develop risk management strategies.
Monitor industry trends, economic factors, and regulatory changes that may impact the companys financial position.
2. Financial Planning and Analysis:
Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Analyze financial data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and operational metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Develop financial models and scenarios to support strategic initiatives and evaluate business opportunities.
Monitor and report on financial performance, variances, and key financial metrics to management and stakeholders.
3. Financial Reporting and Compliance:
Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Oversee financial audits and collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Stay up-to-date with accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting requirements.
4. Treasury and Cash Management:
Manage the companys cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimize financial resources.
Develop and implement effective treasury strategies, including cash management, risk management, and investment strategies.
Monitor banking relationships, negotiate terms, and maintain effective communication with financial institutions.
Oversee debt management, including borrowing, repayment, and compliance with loan covenants.
5. Team Leadership and Development:
Build and lead a high-performing finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and professional development opportunities.
Foster a collaborative and results-oriented work environment within the finance department.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial initiatives and enhance financial literacy across the organization.

Qualifications and Skills:
Chartered Accountant.
Extensive experience in financial management, accounting, and analysis.
In-depth knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling techniques.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards (IFRS).
Proficiency in financial software systems and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
