The purpose of the role is for the successful Financial Director to lead the finance department. To lead the finance function for the African region. The company's Head Quarters are located in Germany. The Financial Director will be the Managing Director's 2IC. This is an onsite role based in Johannesburg
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Africa Experience ( Egypt, Ghana, Botswana and Kenya)
- Manufacturing, Engineering or Industrial sector.
- CA(SA) or ACMA or Bcom Hons with completed SAICA articles.
- Handle the full payroll function
- Business continuation improvement
- 5 years People management
- 7 years cross boarder financial reporting
- To prepare and circulate regular cash flow forecasts and monitor funds to ensure they are sufficient to meet future operational and capital requirements. Maintain banking relationships.
- Part of the executive management team (4 staff) responsible for setting strategic direction of the company
- Manages middle manager responsible for the company Logistics.
- Responsible for accurate statutory reports and submission before deadline including Tax and VAT returns and payments
- All HR responsibilities, from staff development, appointments and disciplinary
- Responsible for Payroll calculation, submission and payment
- Responsible for continuous improvement projects
- Sage X3 or Pastel Evolution
