Financial Controller / Manager
Job Description
Well-established venture capital group seeks an innovative Financial Accountant to join one of their divisions within the hospitality industry as Financial Manager.
The role will be based on the West Coast of the Western Cape.
Job & Company Description:
The purpose of this role will be to provide support for the business through the finance function, working closely with the site-based team and reporting to the CFO of the group.
You will also be responsible for transactional and journal control and recons, as well as maintaining the fixed asset register and petty cash. Other main duties will also include balance sheet, profit and loss, tracking of expenses and management of stock systems.
Assistance on implementations for internal controls and policies will be required.
The successful incumbent will have a passion for finance and possess strong ethical values.
Education:
BCom degree in finance or accounting
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- Completed SAICA or SAIPA articles preferred
- OR 3 to 4 years' experience within a full finance function position
- Knowledge of Sage One
- Strong MS Excel skills required
- Strong understanding of financial and business processes
- Knack for numbers and analytically minded
- Assertive personality and ability to work in a highly pressurized environment
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Deadline driven
