Financial Controller supports key business leaders and the Head of Controlling in driving and monitoring the business performance by providing financial insight. Ensures business activities are conducted in accordance with the Internal Control System (ICS), and that financial impacts are measured and reported following the accounting standards and instructions. The purpose of the role is also to ensure that business KPIs are logical and add value, actions are defined based on performance, and that benefit realizations are delivered. Financial Controller is also accountable for executing the planning process according to global guidelines with the business leaders.
Responsibilities and key activities
Business partnering with strong outside-in mindset
Understanding of the business logic and dependencies between key operational processes,
relationships, and metrics.
Being the key finance professional and trusted advisor of finance matters in the organization and
promote and ensure adequate finance understanding in the business organization.
Evaluate industry, economic, financial, and market trends to forecast the organization's short, medium,
and long-term financial and competitive position
Providing actionable insights, key findings, and conclusions to business, not just numbers
Ensure transparency of accounting and compliance with IFRS and IAS-;
Managing and analysing the financial performance
Ensure that key reporting principles and correct costing parameters as defined by (Accounting
Manual) SAM, local laws and ICS have been implemented and followed
Ensure the correctness of managerial reporting including support for operational staff to ensure
accurate cost data, correct and timely recording of quality costs and Production Systems KPI's
Monthly manufacturing variances and KPI analysis and identification of gaps and improvement
measures
Analyze and understand the weekly/monthly actual performance of the business, as well the deviations
compared to planned (Budgeted / Forecasted) performance and be proactive in supporting business leaders in creating plans to close identified gaps and implement improvements
Provide and share the executive summary of the performance including opportunities and risk with
business leaders.
General Ledger Reconciliations, journals, review accruals and provisions
Follow up on long outstanding projects, arrange meetings and develop action plans (WIP Tracker), including Investigate
Facilitating the planning and forecasting processes
Support the planning and forecasting processes by providing financial parameters to be utilized in sales
and cost planning and forecasting by the business (e.g., inflation rate, foreign exchange rates, increases
in wages and salaries, costs for corporate materials, milestone lead times)
Validate and analyze the outcome and ensure realistic level of figures
Ensure that plans and forecasts are consolidated and reported forward in a timely manner and that
deadlines are respected.
Other tasks
Perform or organize the execution of the business controlling tasks as defined in ICS
Participate in more general analysis tasks that support the Business Line, e.g., analyzing the opportunity
funnel, and producing scenario analyses for versatile purposes (e.g., market demand vs. pricing in different scenarios).
Maintain strong connections with other stakeholders and other Finance colleagues within to
share best practices and to understand current and future trends
Perform other ad hoc activities within reason that may be allocated from time to time by Superiors

Inherent Requirements
Newly Qualified CA with completed articles out of a recognised audit firms
OR Completed CIMA qualification, with 3 yearsxe2x80x99 solid experience in Management Accounting.
Engineering background preferred with a basic understanding of project management
Strong Computer skills
