A well-established organization in the healthcare services sector is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Financial Accountant to join their team in Pretoria .
The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting expertise, a solid understanding of financial systems and controls, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role that also requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping duties up to the trial balance, including maintaining general ledgers and reconciling bank accounts.
• Manage cash books, petty cash, credit cards, debtors, and creditors.
• Maintain accurate financial records, including data entry and database management.
• Prepare monthly management accounts.
• Assist with both external and internal audits.
• Process and reconcile payroll, staff commissions, and statutory payments.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, governance standards, and SARS requirements across various tax types.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant Accounting/Finance degree.
• Completed articles (SAIPA/SAICA); and AGA(SA) or PA(SA) designation preferred
• Minimum of 3 years' experience performing similar accounting duties.
• Tax practitioner registration is advantageous.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of financial systems and controls.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel , Pastel Partner (or similar) , SAGE 300 People , CaseWare , and SARS E-Filing .

Salary

• CTC: R30 000 - R40 000 per month , depending on experience and qualifications.
