We are looking for a Financial Accountant to support our Financial Manager and help drive operational and financial efficiency across multiple business units.
As a Financial Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing financial operations for both the restaurant and convenience store, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and profitability. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about improving financial processes and performance.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and deliver accurate monthly and ad hoc financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Month-End Close: Oversee the month-end process, including reconciliations (sales, stock, creditors, cash, and debtors).
  • VAT Compliance: Ensure accurate VAT allocations and adherence to all tax regulations.
  • Creditors & Debtors Management: Handle creditor reconciliations, payments, and queries; verify debtor reconciliations and manage sales adjustments.
  • Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage petty cash and daily cash-ups to ensure operational liquidity.
  • Profitability & Cost Control: Analyze financial data to improve profit margins, optimize pricing, and reduce operational waste.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Implement controls to manage stock levels, reduce wastage, and monitor expiry management.
  • Wastage Management: Maintain accurate recipe costing and streamline inventory processes to minimize loss.
  • Staff Oversight: Support team development, assist with payroll (in collaboration with HR), and ensure compliance with labor regulations.
  • Customer Service Standards: Promote and uphold excellent service across the business.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all financial practices adhere to relevant regulations and policies.
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Relevant BCom degree, Diploma, or financial qualification (preferred)
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in property finance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with MDA or MRI Property Management Software
