Financial Accountant

Job Description
Our client who are leaders in the precision drilling and blasting service provider industry, with offices based in Pretoria East, is looking for a Financial Accountant/Manager with a minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience. The successful individual will be reporting to the Managing Director.
Qualifications and Abilities:
- Must be able to do the full financial reporting up to balance sheet/management statements.
- BCom in Accounting or related Finance qualification
- Minimum of 3 - 5 yrs Financial Accountant working experience
- Experience in the Mining/Construction Industry will be an added benefit.
- Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Must be able to work independently and be able to take the lead.
- Must be able to handle pressure
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude, team player, self-starter
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts and cash flow forecast
- Assisting in the preparation, processing of reconciliations (suppliers, debtors, cashbook, inter-company)
- Processing of journals
- Arranging financial lease with bank for any assets
- Leasing with bank on all accounts / card
- Reconciliation of production and sales
- Assist with annual audit preparations, schedules and queries.
- Assist with the processing / reconciliation / submission of VAT, EMP and tax returns
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Handle SARS related queries
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of financial information
