Job Description
Our client, a global leader in philanthropic technology, is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented individual to play a critical role in maintaining accounting excellence for a platform that has made a difference in over 100 countries.Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a firm grasp of transactional movements.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting.
- Reconcile and match all balance sheet accounts.
- Investigate anomalies and resolve queries promptly.
- Prepare month-end files, reconciliations, and financial adjustments (e.g., accruals, prepayments, depreciation).
- Assist with the preparation of annual financial audit files and operational/regulatory audits.
- Perform variance analysis of actual vs. budgeted amounts.
- Undertake ad hoc financial tasks as needed.
- BCom Accounting qualification with ACCA, AG(SA), or SAIPA accreditation.
- Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles.
- 12 years post-articles experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills at all levels, internally and externally.
- Work from wherever you feel comfortable and productive home, office, or in a co-working space.
- Access to an office in Cape Town, Bree Street, for occasional co-working days.
- An additional 12 days of leave annually to volunteer with a charity of your choice.
- Home office equipment setup provided.
