Renowned for engineering excellence and operational efficiency, they offer a collaborative culture where finance plays a critical role in driving profitability, compliance, and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for a Financial Accountant who thrives in a structured, deadline-driven environment and enjoys working closely with operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare full Annual Financial Statements (AFS)
- Compile audit packs and liaise with external auditors
- Report to external stakeholders and head office
- Maintain the fixed assets register and manage asset accounting for plant and equipment
- Handle VAT calculations, submissions, and reconciliations
- Assist with or independently prepare budgets and forecasts
- Perform cost and variance analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making
- Support month-end and year-end close processes
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Syspro, Sage)
- Strong Excel and financial reporting skills
- Solid knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and SOX compliance
- High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
Qualifications:
- BCom Accounting (essential)
- Minimum 3 years commercial experience (essential)
