A well-established organisation operating within the logistics and transport sector is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing core financial accounting functions, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and supporting business decision-making. This role is ideal for a qualified accounting professional who has completed their articles and is looking to grow within a commercially driven environment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Perform balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure statutory compliance.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- Support external audits and internal financial controls.
- Maintain accurate financial records and assist with process improvements.
Qualifications & Experience:
- BCom degree required.
- Completed articles (SAICA / SAIPA / CIMA).
- 2-4 years' relevant financial accounting experience.
- Experience within logistics, transport, or a similar operational environment advantageous.
- Strong Excel skills and attention to detail.
