Job Description

Job Summary A leading organisation in the Food & Beverage Manufacturing industry is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a fast-paced production environment where accuracy, compliance, and financial insight are key to supporting business growth.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with IFRS for SMEs/GAAP.
Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements/management accounts.
Manage general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
Monitor accounts payable, receivable, and fixed assets.
Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and other statutory requirements.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
Identify process improvements and ensure financial controls are followed.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
SAIPA/SAICA articles completed or in progress preferred.
3 - 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of IFRS for SMEs, tax, and compliance regulations.
Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, Pastel, Oracle, QuickBooks).
Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organisational skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
