About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Finance Operations & Systems Controller to join our growing finance team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with a strong systems mindset, a passion for process improvement, and a solid understanding of internal controls and risk management. You'll play a key role in optimizing finance operations across multiple legal entities through technology, automation, and robust governance.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Systems & ERP Management

• Act as finance lead for ERP and financial systems (e.g., COUPA, MS Dynamics BC, Floqast, IBM Analytics, Anaplan).
• Drive system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations to support business needs.
• Ensure data integrity and consistency across all finance platforms.

Automation & Process Improvement

• Identify automation opportunities within finance processes (e.g., RPA, workflow tools).
• Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce manual work.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline end-to-end finance operations.

Internal Controls & Risk Management

• Design, implement, and monitor internal controls to ensure compliance with policies and regulations (e.g., IFRS).
• Conduct risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Maintain documentation and support control testing and remediation efforts.

Audit & Compliance Coordination

• Act as primary liaison for internal and external audits.
• Coordinate audit schedules, documentation requests, and responses.
• Track and report on audit findings and ensure timely resolution.

What You'll Need
Qualifications & Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CA(SA) or equivalent preferred.

Experience

• 5+ years in finance operations, systems, or audit.
• Strong experience working in an IT-driven finance environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems and financial reporting tools.
• High technological literacy and ability to leverage automation tools.
• Solid understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills.
• Problem-solving mindset and intellectual curiosity in using technology to improve processes.
