Finance Manager

Job Description
This is not your typical behind-the-desk finance role -- it's an integrated operational role, working across cost centres, managing spend, partnering with department heads, and driving financial accountability throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Centre Management & Cost Control: Monitor, analyse, and optimise cost drivers across various operational units.
- Financial Reporting: Oversee month-end, budgeting, and forecasting processes; and prepare insightful reports for senior leadership.
- Business Partnering: Work closely with operational leaders, Engineers, and production teams to influence decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a small finance team; and foster collaboration and accountability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Manage relationships across departments with varying personalities and priorities.
- Qualification: CA(SA) or qualified ACMA/CGMA (CIMA).
- Experience: 8-10 years' experience in a finance role within a mining or manufacturing environment (essential).
- Strong knowledge of cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and operational finance.
- Excellent people and interpersonal skills - Able to engage at all levels, from plant staff to executive leadership.
- Proven ability to influence operational outcomes through financial insight.
