Job Description

Kingdom Blue is seeking to hire a Financial Manager to oversee our finance department. This role involves strategic planning, financial reporting, budgeting, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. As a team member, you will lead financial operations while working closely with the Financial Director to support business growth

Qualifications and Experience

Education: A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or professional certifications will be an added advantage. Experience: At least 2 to 5 years of experience in a finance role, preferably within the insurance or funeral industries.
Skills and Competencies

Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse complex financial and insurance data and provide actionable insights. Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with IFRS, SARS, and financial services sector regulations. Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial and management accounting. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with stakeholders. Leadership: Proven ability to lead, coach, and manage a finance team, and to quickly adapt to the organizational culture.
Responsibilities

Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans. Reporting: Prepare, present, and interpret financial reports for the Finance Director, senior management, and stakeholders. Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant laws and regulations. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial and insurance risks. Strategic Planning: Contribute to strategic decision-making processes by providing financial insights. Technical Competencies: Proficiency in Office 365 (with advanced Excel skills) and knowledge of Pastel and/or Xero accounting systems.
