In this role, you will be responsible for the financial stability, sustainability, and compliance of the organisation through effective management, reporting, and strategic oversight of financial operations.A leading South African advocacy organisation in Johannesburg is seeking an experienced and skilled Financial Manager to oversee their financial operations.Note that experience in donor/grant reporting is required for this role.Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement financial systems, policies, and controls.Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, banking, procurement, and budgeting.Ensure accurate financial records in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.Prepare financial reports (income statements, balance sheets, cash flow) and provide strategic recommendations.Manage the organisations budget and conduct financial forecasting as well as risk assessments for long-term planning.Implement financial controls and policies to mitigate risks and protect assets.Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions for compliance.Qualifications and Experience:Qualified CA(SA) or CGMA with 3+ years of experience in a similar role.A donor accounting background is required.Strong knowledge of financial management principles and regulations.Experience in creating and implementing financial management systems.Proficiency in accounting software (SAGE, QuickBooks, Xero, etc.).Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.Salary:R840 000 - R1 200 000 / year CTC depending on the candidates experience
