Requirements and Qualifications:

CA(SA) or BCom + 4 years post articles
ERP system knowledge (will need to manage a unique bespoke finance system)
Min 4 years prior experience managing a Finance Department
Wholesale, distribution, import and export experience
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Ability to analyse data from a range of sources with a view to formulate and communicate present or inherent financial risk

Duties and Responsibilities include:

Manage the finance function including financial accounting and budgetary control
Prepare Monthly and Year-end financial reporting
Tax / VAT / EMP 201& 501 management
Foreign transaction / Forward cover / Exco management
Cash flow planning, Bank management, payment validation
Oversee large debtors department, deal with credit problems
Integrity of financial systems / data / reports / history
Internal controls within the BU
Motivate and lead the finance team (3-4 direct reports)
Projects (Budgets / Insurance values / Internal audits / etc)
Generate a range of monthly finance reports for upstream and downstream communication
Ensure compliance to all Company policies and financial practice and regulations
Assist with all ad-hoc reporting requests
