About the opportunity
As Finance & Operations Manager, you'll report directly to the CEO and play a pivotal role in managing the full financial function, ensuring compliance and governance, and leading key departments including HR. You'll bring structure, insight, and leadership to a complex but rewarding environment - where your work truly makes a difference.
What you'll be responsible for

• Leading strategic financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
• Overseeing payroll, compliance, statutory reporting, and audit processes.
• Supporting the CEO and Board with financial insights and best practices.
• Managing and optimising operations, ensuring profitability and efficiency.
• Developing and leading high-performing teams across Finance, HR, and Retail.
• Maintaining strong financial controls and reporting through systems like Pastel and VIP.

What we're looking for

• Postgraduate qualification in Finance with 6-10 years' experience in a similar leadership role.
• Strong financial management and governance experience, ideally in an NPO environment.
• Retail operations exposure would be a bonus.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Pastel, and VIP Payroll; MS Project knowledge is a plus.
• Proven team leadership with strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
• Valid driver's licence and fluency in at least two official languages (advantageous).
