Role Overview
We are hiring a Finance Manager with People Operations responsibilities to support the company's next phase of growth.
This is a hands-on, tactical role, ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving visibility, and supporting leadership with actionable financial insights -- not a strategic CFO-level position.
You will play a critical role in:
building SKU-level financial visibility
improving payroll and headcount planning
supporting hiring decisions with real data
owning core accounting and people operations workflows
This role sits at the intersection of finance, accounting, and people ops.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
Maintain accurate monthly financial statements
Build and manage SKU-level P&Ls
Track margins, COGS, operating expenses, and contribution profit
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial summaries for leadership
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
Identify cost trends and efficiency opportunities
Payroll & People Operations
Manage payroll coordination and employee/contractor payments
Track headcount, compensation, and payroll as a percentage of EBITDA
Support leadership with data-driven hiring guidance
Maintain employee records and documentation
Assist with onboarding/offboarding processes
Ensure clean, organized people ops systems
Cross-Functional Support
Partner with operations and leadership to evaluate new hires
Support scaling decisions with financial modeling
Improve internal systems and workflows as the company grows
Ideal Candidate Profile
Required
4-8 years of experience in finance, accounting, or FP&A
Strong understanding of P&Ls, payroll, and expense management
Experience supporting small to mid-sized companies or startups
Comfortable working in fast-moving, resource-lean environments
Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal English communication
Strongly Preferred
Experience in eCommerce, CPG, or consumer brands
Exposure to SKU-level reporting and inventory-aware finance
Prior experience owning or supporting People Ops functions
Experience working remotely with U.S.-based leadership
