Contract Duration: 6-month contractHire Resolve's Client is seeking to hire a Finance Manager to join their team in Umhlanga, KwaZulu-Natal.Job Summary:
The Financial Manager will be responsible for overseeing the finance department's day-to-day operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and managing the month-end process. The role involves preparing management accounts, submitting VAT returns and other monthly items to SARS, and supervising a team of finance professionals. This individual will work closely with senior management to ensure compliance, streamline financial operations, and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, attention to detail, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the Finance department's daily operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of VAT returns and other month-end financial items to SARS.
• Prepare management accounts for reporting and analysis.
• Supervise and manage the finance team through month-end procedures and other ad-hoc finance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with senior management to ensure proper financial reporting and forecasting.
• Assist in budgeting and financial planning processes.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Pastel or Sage accounting software.
• Minimum of 5 years' work experience in a financial management role.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and other financial tools.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ideally available to start immediately.
