Malander is seeking a xe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bxe2x80x8bmotivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern who is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree and has experience in bookkeeping up to trial balance. The successful candidate will work closely with the finance team, gaining practical experience in financial processes, reporting, and accounting functions.Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and reconcile accounts.
  • Perform bookkeeping tasks, including recording journal entries and posting to general ledgers.
  • Assist in the preparation of trial balance and month-end financial close processes.
  • Support the accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing and payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist with cash flow management.
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare variance reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support financial processes and provide financial insights.
Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree, preferably with a focus on Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in bookkeeping up to trial balance is essential.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply new skills in a practical setting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with financial analysis and reporting.
  • Basic knowledge of tax regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with ERP systems or financial management tools.
