Job SummaryOur Client are seeking a Junior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced finance team. This role is ideal for a candidate who has recently completed their SAIPA Articles or a SAICA-qualified accountant with 1-2 years of post-articles experience (or more, if aligned with the salary range). The ideal candidate will have a passion for accounting, strong attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a social and sports-friendly office culture.Key Responsibilities:

• Full bookkeeping function, including VAT, reconciliations, and general ledgers.
• Preparation of financial statements and management accounts.
• Handling payroll processes (experience with SimplePay is advantageous).
• Assisting with financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and accounting standards.
• Working with Xero (upcoming implementation) and Microsoft Dynamics Nav (currently in use).
• Supporting internal finance operations within a marketing/hospitality-focused environment.

Key Requirements:Qualifications & Experience:

• SAIPA Candidates: Recently completed SAIPA Articles.
• SAICA Candidates: Completed SAICA Articles, with 1-2 years post-articles experience (or more if salary aligns).
• Preferably not currently registered as a CA(SA).
• Experience in accounting, audit, or finance sectors (excluding banking or highly conservative environments).
• Exposure to the marketing or hospitality industry is beneficial but not required.

Skills & Competencies:

• Proficiency in Xero, SimplePay, and Microsoft Dynamics Nav (or willingness to learn).
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, payroll, and financial reporting.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a social and engaging office environment.
• Afrikaans-speaking, as the office culture primarily operates in Afrikaans.
• A personality that aligns with the office culture-enthusiasm for Rugby, Cricket, and an easygoing team atmosphere is a plus!
