 Essential Experience: 5 to 10 years in finance leadership roles, within milling environment 
Role Overview: 
 The CFO will lead the financial management, and reporting of the business, ensuring alignment with the Group company's commercial and operational objectives. This role demands deep sector insight into the milling industry, from procurement to production, pricing, and margin control. The CFO will be instrumental in driving cost efficiency, capital allocation, and sustainable growth at the mills . 
Key Responsibilities: 
 Financial Management & Reporting 
 Lead all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting 
 Ensure compliance with IFRS, SARS, SARB etc 
 Present regular financial performance reports to the executives 
 Operational and commercial input 
 Partner with operations to track margins, raw material usage, yield efficiency 
 Implement cost accounting processes specific to milling 
 Oversee product costing, inventory valuation, and production efficiencies 
 Treasury 
 Banking relationships: Proven track record of obtaining funding lines and improving the functionality of funding line for the business 
 Manage cash flow management: Short to medium cashflow forecasts 
 Optimize working capital: Decreasing debtors day, Negotiating creditors term, and optimum inventory holding 
 Develop funding strategies for expansion or acquisition 
 Candidates must have some experience in a multi currency environment 
 Risk Management & Governance 
 Oversee audit, legal, tax, and compliance functions 
 Manage insurance, risk exposure, and mitigation strategies 
 Maintain strong governance across all financial and procurement processes 
 People & Systems 
 Lead and develop the finance team which includes a financial manager, debtors and creditors clerks, admin staff, and cost accountant 
 Oversee ERP and financial systems development, 
 Head of HR and payroll 
Required Experience and Skills: 
 Qualified CA(SA) with at least 5 years post-articles experience or Bcom accounts with relevant experience of 10 or more years 
 Prior experience as CFO or FD in a milling environment 
 Strong command of product costing, manufacturing finance, and some exposure to commodity trading 
 Proven track record of managing high-volume, cost-sensitive operations 
 Proficiency in ERP systems 
 Some Experience with cross-border operations and multi-country finance structures in Treasury
