They are looking for a Finance & Controls Officer to join their Group Finance team and ensure that financial processes and statutory obligations are managed efficiently and accurately.
In this role, you will work across compliance, audit preparation, payroll coordination, and register management, gaining exposure to group-level finance functions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and review group compliance functions including SARS VAT, EMP, and Provisional tax submissions.
  • Administer statutory and secretarial filings with CIPC, COIDA, DOL, and SARS.
  • Develop and maintain internal review and control sheets for finance functions.
  • Support external audits, B-BBEE verification, and budget preparation processes.
  • Maintain key registers such as asset registers, employee records, company registers, and risk databases.
  • Coordinate payroll and ensure the HR suite of payroll software is accurate and up to date.
Job Experience and Skills Required: Education:
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or Internal Auditing (essential).
Experience:
  • 1-3 years' experience in accounting, finance, or compliance.
  • Experience with multi-entity environments or group-level reporting advantageous.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Pastel Accounting and Microsoft 365 (Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent organisational and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high data integrity.
Non-Negotiables:
  • Solid understanding of SARS, CIPC, and statutory compliance processes.
  • High level of accountability, reliability, and professional integrity.
