Operational Finance Controller - Middle Management
? Location: Johannesburg East, Gauteng
? Type: Permanent
? Salary: R1 000 000 - R1 200 000 per annum

We're looking for a dynamic Operational Finance Controller to lead financial operations in a multi-entity, high-volume transaction environment. This role is ideal for someone with strong intercompany and foreign currency experience, particularly within the SADC region, and a deep understanding of South African tax and VAT in complex industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage financial operations across multiple entities and regions
• Oversee intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and reporting
• Manage foreign currency transactions, especially within Africa (SADC)
• Ensure compliance with SA tax legislation and VAT, particularly in product- and project-based environments
• Drive budgeting, forecasting, and CAPEX planning
• Collaborate with operational teams to enhance financial performance
• Support audits and ensure financial controls are in place

Requirements:

• Education: BCom degree (minimum) + Postgraduate/Honours or relevant additional studies
• Experience:

• 5+ years in operational finance
• 2-3 years in a management role
• Strong exposure to multi-transaction environments and intercompany processes
• Proven experience with foreign currency and SADC operations
• Deep knowledge of SA tax and VAT in relevant industries
• Industry Exposure: Construction, manufacturing, industrial, retail, or project-based environments
• Systems: Advanced Excel and ERP systems
• Other: Willingness to travel occasionally; hybrid work setup
