Finance & Commercial Manager Finance
Durban - KwaZulu Natal - South Africa

Our client, a multinational manufacturing company in South Africa, is looking for a Finance & Commercial Manager to manage the financial, administrative, governance, & commercial functions in line with business objectives.

Requirements:

• BCom / BCom Honours in Finance or Accounting
• CA (SA) preferred
• CIMA qualification will be advantageous
• 5 years' experience in a similar role

Key Performance Areas:

• Participate in formulation & implementation of the financial & commercial strategy
• Provide financial analysis & support to management & all operational areas of the business
• Participate in negotiations with customers & suppliers
• Support with management of key customer & supplier relationships
• Compile & update the Risk Register
• Prepare & review operational, sales, & commercial budgets
• Review weekly sales reports & manage sales margins
• Review the monthly financial pack & identify variances
• Review project appraisals & valuations
• Review CAPEX spend
• Prepare & plan the Year-End Statutory Audit (internal & external)
• Review year-end reporting accounting & tax packs
• Draft financial statements
• Follow up & action audit findings
• Release all bank payments & transfers
• Monitor & review stock holdings
• Review all stock journals (adjustments)
• Review stock ageing & assess provisions for slow moving / obsolete stock
• Prepare & review detailed product costing analysis
• Analyse all current parts & make recommendations for recovery on distressed parts
• Calculate & propose potential price increases
• Lead all negotiations with all raw material vendors
• Manage Government grant applications
• Manage & review tooling account
• Manage debtors
• Monitor & control credit notes
