Job Purpose

To assist the Finance Controller and provide financial support to ensure business capability and financial analysis in areas such as forecasting, budgeting and reviewing operational performance and to ensure that information is recorded in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner.

Qualifications and Experience

Education:

Chartered Accountant (South Africa) - CA(SA) Chartered Institute of Management Accountants - CIMA (completed or in progress)

Experience



7 to 10 years post articles experience with finance project management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Advanced Excel skills, ERP systems experience, Management Accounting Proven experience working within Mining or Technology industries

Key Responsibilities

1.Management Reports and Accounting Oversight Planning

Coordinate information from different departments to produce business plan Monitoring of business plan and risk identification Treasury strategy development and implementation Compile and maintain monthly reports and dashboards for the company

2. Accounting and Oversight



Review and analyse project profitability with recommendations and risk mitigation Treasury strategy development and implementation

3. Process and Controls



Develop and implement processes Undertake continuous improvements in processes and controls within the finance department Review J-Sox compliance and suggest related improvements

4. Taxation



Review tax calculations Oversight of country tax risk Oversight of tax compliance

5. Budgets and Forecasts



Prepare, analyse and coordinate the company's functional budget and forecasts Review of Rolling Forecast on a monthly basis.

6. Management Reports and Dashboard



To review and analyse the monthly Corporate Management Accounts Pack to identify and mitigate risks Provide detailed commentary variances in the P&L and B/S to business plan and forecast

7. Compliance and Risk Management



Statutory compliance Insurance and risk analysis Country risk assessment across the EMEA region Commercial contract administration Oversight on BEE compliance Transfer Pricing Review
