Job Description

Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) presents an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the Finance team at CCBA.
CCBA is the 8th largest Coca-Cola?authorised bottler?in the world by revenue, and the largest on the continent. It accounts for over 40% of all Coca-Cola?ready-to-drink beverages?sold in Africa by volume. With over 14 000 employees in Africa, CCBA?group?services more than 800 000 customers with a host of international and local brands. CCBA group operates in 14 countries: South Africa, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania, Botswana, Zambia, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi and the islands of Comoros and Mayotte.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Drive Regional Cost Optimization: Partner with Regional Leadership to conduct bi-monthly cost reviews, identify overspend risks, and implement corrective action plans-achieving a minimum 3% reduction in controllable costs year-on-year.
Deliver Accurate and Timely Financial Forecasts: Produce and present twice-monthly cost forecasts, ensuring variances to budget are within a 2% band, enabling senior leaders to make informed, proactive decisions.
Elevate Financial Governance and Control Adherence: Lead quarterly RACM self-assessments and corrective action tracking; close 95% of identified control gaps within target timelines to maintain a robust control environment.
Provide Actionable Variance Analysis & Margin Insights: Compile monthly Income Statement variance reports and margin analyses for total CCBSA and individual channels-highlighting at least three actionable pricing or mix opportunities each quarter that improve overall profitability.
Coordinate and Consolidate Annual Budget Process: Issue budgeting templates, consolidate functional inputs, benchmark against peer regions, and deliver a final regional budget with variance to prior year revenue and cost no greater than 5%.
Strengthen Stakeholder Financial Capability: Develop and roll out targeted financial training modules for line managers; achieve a 90% "competent" rating (via post-training assessments) across regional leadership teams within six months.
Ensure Accurate Balance Sheet Reconciliations & Asset Controls: Oversee quarterly balance sheet reconciliations and surprise stock-counts; resolve 100% of long-outstanding reconciliations and variances by period-end to safeguard asset integrity.
Lead Financial Team Performance & Talent Development: Manage and mentor regional finance staff to ensure 100% on-time delivery of monthly reports; achieve at least one internal promotion or succession placement within the finance team annually.
Skills, Experience & Education
Education

  • BCom (Honours) in Accounting or Financial Management (required)
  • CA(SA) or CIMA certification (advantageous)
  • Additional postgraduate qualification (e.g., MBA, Postgrad Diploma) beneficial
Experience
  • 8-10 years' progressive financial management experience, ideally within FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Proven track record in regional budgeting, cost control, and governance implementation.
Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel (complex models, pivot tables, macros)
  • Proficiency with ERP/financial systems and budgeting platforms
  • Strong competence in variance analysis, margin management, and financial reporting
  • Excellent stakeholder collaboration and communication (verbal & written)
  • Ability to develop training materials and build financial acumen across non-financial teams
  • Demonstrated leadership in coaching, mentoring, and talent development
  • High attention to detail, objectivity, and integrity when handling sensitive data
