A Leading Pharmaceutical Company is looking for a Finance Assistant. Position Summary:
The Finance Assistant is responsible for day to day accounting, month and Quarterly closing and year end closing and preparing the Draft for review of quarter/annual financial accounts and ensuring the financial integrity of the statutory accounts and internal control and Statutory Compliance, Taxation and VAT.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day finance and accounts operations; Handle full spectrum of financial accounting role eg. AR, AP, GL, Fixed Assets.
Load payments & journal entries.
Perform full set of accounts with Accrual, Prepayment and Amortisation and ensure timely closing of accounts.
Cost center / profit center wise accounting and budgetary control.
Adherence to internal control and policies for effective accounting.
Assist in implementing SOPs for finance functions and cross functional areas.
Identify need to improve accounting system, carry out user testing and implementation
Support Finance Head in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management.
Month end and Quarter end Reconciliations
Customers: Reconciling transactions with Third Party and Inter-company and balance confirmation.
Suppliers: Reconciling transactions with Third Party and Intercompany and balance confirmation.
Ensure timely payment to Vendor and no overdue from Customers.
Assist Finance Head in Preparation of subsidiaries'
Quarterly/Annual statutory accounts, monitoring of accounting and reporting developments for local GAAP and IFRS and preparation of statutory accounts audit pack in IFRS format.
Assist in getting annual accounts audited in time.
Education:
Should have degree/diploma in accounting/finance
Experience:
3-5 years' experience in small to Mid size company preferably in Pharmaceuticals/Trading Company, with strong understanding and extensive user experience in accounting software Quickbooks/others.
Knowledge & Skills:
Awareness of current technical accounting and reporting requirements under both IFRS and local GAAP.
Working knowledge of monthly reconciliations.
Computer literacy with good excel skills (Advance level: Candidate must be knowledgeable; efficient and navigation speed must be high in excel eg. Vlookup, Pivot, Form etc.)

Good time management and organization skills with the ability to work to monthly deadlines.
Good communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
Ability to resolve financial issues and manage risk.
