About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join Outsourcery's Finance Team. This role is ideal for someone with at least 2 years' working experience in finance or accounting and currently studying towards their CIMA qualification. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain well-rounded practical experience across finance operations, reporting, and compliance - helping you fulfil your CIMA practical experience requirements.
Please note:

• This person MUST be based in Cape Town or the surrounding areas (to allow for in-person meet-ups)

• You require your own work-from-home setup: laptop, stable and reliable internet, backup power

• Only open to South African nationals

• Start Date: Jan 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day finance operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

• Manage the timekeeping system.

• Assist in maintaining accurate general ledger records.

• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations across international entities.

• Provide support with year-end audit preparation and documentation.

• Assist with ad-hoc projects, analysis, and reporting as required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' working experience in a finance or accounting role.

• Currently studying towards CIMA qualification.

• Strong Excel and financial systems skills.

• Attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

• Own work from home setup (relevant workspace, computer, strong internet connection).

• South African national, based in Cape Town or the surrounding areas (to allow for in-person meet-ups)
