An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong, operationally minded and commercially curious Finance & Operations Manager to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial investment business. This newly created role is ideal for a CA(SA) or strong finance professional with exposure to fund management, asset management or broader financial services, who enjoys variety, ownership and working closely with senior leaders.
The business is experiencing continued growth across its investment activities and underlying structures, creating the need for a strong individual to take over key reporting, finance processes and operational workflows, freeing up senior leadership to focus on strategic and investment priorities.

You will work closely with senior partners, investment teams, support teams, service providers, auditors, legal advisors and international stakeholders. The role is broad, varied and central to the operational and financial running of the business.
What You Will Be Doing
Finance Operations, Reporting & Internal Controls

• Manage intercompany payments, internal finance processes and financial workflows
• Oversee fund reporting, including financial and ESG components
• Manage invoicing, drawdowns, receipts, payments and distributions
• Support valuations, investment reporting and fund administration
• Prepare and maintain internal reporting packs for senior leadership
• Strengthen internal controls, processes and documentation

Operational Management & Stakeholder Coordination

• Support senior leadership with daily operational execution
• Liaise with auditors, accountants, legal advisors and regulatory parties
• Coordinate governance, compliance and internal procedures
• Support post-investment structures and portfolio company reporting
• Manage internal teams and support functions across operations
• Ensure smooth communication between internal and external stakeholders

Execution & Business Enablement

• Streamline operational processes and drive continuous improvement
• Take ownership of new, complex and varied tasks
• Act as the operational point-of-contact for the business
• Provide high-quality ad hoc support on finance, reporting and operational matters

Who We're Looking For

• CA(SA) preferred, or strong finance qualification with relevant experience
• 5+ years' experience across finance, operations, fund management or financial services
• Strong understanding of financial processes, governance, reporting and internal operations
• Experience interacting with auditors, fund administrators, legal advisors and regulatory bodies
• High proficiency in Excel and Microsoft business tools
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Detail-oriented, proactive, solutions-driven and comfortable with autonomy
• Thrives in a dynamic, growing environment with shifting priorities
