TOTALENERGIES RENEWABLES SOUTHERN AFRICA is recruiting for a Finance and Corporate Affairs Manager to join our growing South African operations. The position will be based in Cape Town or Johannesburg. The successful candidate responsibilities will include:
Finance
Plan, direct, supervise the activities of Finance Division. Perform managerial functions at company's Management Committee level and advise on all o
there financial, support and transversal matters as requested by Management.
Direct and control the development and the implementation of accounting and financial systems and procedures. Ensure that all procedures are developed, maintained, and properly followed by all concerned staff. Recommend modifications to enhance existing systems and advise on implementation as necessary.
Manage and control the Company's monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports (balance sheets, ledgers, financial statements, etc.) submitted to Management, Head Office, JV partners and local Authority.
Manage and control LTP exercise for the affiliate, annual budgets (and revisions thereto) and annual plans submitted to Management, Head Office and JV partners.
Monitor budgets throughout the year. Ensure that Management is fully informed of Company's and JV's financial situation and foreseeable evolution.
Identify and evaluate fiscal issues, select/recommend appropriate solutions aiming at minimizing adverse effects and optimizing Company's business, while ensuring compliance with all applicable Tax Acts. Control and ensure preparation and submission of Company's tax returns.
Recommend and advise Management on insurance issues.
Ensure statutory audited financials are timely issued and tax filing for the affiliate is completed.
Manage drawdowns, paybacks for shareholder loan
Manage VAT filing, Transfer Pricing related tasks for the affiliate.
Supervise/ Assist in setting up finance function in new SPVs in South Africa for REN.
HR & Administration
Ensure that local personnel are managed in compliance with South African's legal framework, social and administrative obligations and the HR policy established by the subsidiary (recruitment, salary policy, granting of loans, private medical plan, training payroll administration, etc.), in compliance with Company rules.
Develop subsidiary's application instructions and manages expatriates in accordance with that framework, and in compliance with the local social and legal framework,
IT/IS
Safeguard smooth implementation and efficient performance of TERSA IT infrastructure
Manage smooth operation of SAP/ ERP for the affiliate.
Other Objectives:
Ensure adherence to compliance processes and guidelines specific to position's roles and responsibilities
Context & Environment
Finance
Responsible for overall Finance function including controlling, FP&A, accounting, MIS.
Responsible for monthly financial closing and reporting
Responsible for Annual Budget and LTP exercise for the company
Responsible for statutory audits, coordination, providing information, clarifying queries.
Oversee Human Resource administration.
