The Finance and Administration Manager is responsible for overseeing the company's financial health, administrative efficiency, compliance, and operational controls. The role ensures accurate financial reporting, effective cost management, regulatory compliance, and performance monitoring across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management
Oversee
debtors and creditors
, including monitoring and follow-up of all unpaid invoices
Manage and review
bank reconciliations
Control and monitor
water tanker payment collections
Ensure accurate tracking and reconciliation of
purchase orders
against supplier invoices
Monitor
fuel costs
, implement checks and balances, and identify cost-saving opportunities
Oversee
fleet maintenance expenses
, ensuring budgets and controls are maintained
Maintain accurate
financial records
and documentation
Operational & Performance Oversight
Monitor
control room performance
and operational efficiency
Oversee
sales team performance
, including financial and compliance aspects
Oversee Project Managers Sales Performance, Quote Management and Tracking of Turnaround times and efficiencies.
Monitor Plumbers and Specialised Services
production performance
and ensure alignment with financial targets.
Oversee the Inventory Management and Procurement Processes.
Payroll & Employee Administration
Oversee All aspects of
payroll processing
, Recons and Monthly Compliance requirements.
Manage employee administration and ensure accurate employee records and compliance with BCEA.
Assist with Employment Equity Compliance
Compliance & Governance
Ensure compliance with
B-BBEE (BEE) requirements
Ensure company-wide compliance with the
POPI Act
Assist with Employment Equity Compliance
Oversee
insurance policies
, renewals, and claims.
Ensure overall company compliance with financial, operational, and regulatory standards
Reporting & Controls
Prepare and distribute
daily financial and operational reports
Establish and maintain
time-scheduled reporting structures
Ensure reports are accurate, relevant, and submitted on time to management
Implement and maintain internal controls and accountability systems
General Administration
Maintain strong
record-keeping systems
Support management with financial analysis and decision-making
Identify process improvements to enhance efficiency and control
Key Competencies & Skills
Strong financial and accounting knowledge
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
Strong leadership and oversight capabilities
Knowledge of compliance frameworks (BEE, POPI, labour regulations)
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict reporting deadlines
Strong communication and organizational skills
An Accounting or Business Administration Related Qualification would be advantageous.
The Position will initially be a Contract Position that could transition into a permanent placement.
