Analyst: Finance
Our company is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced Analyst: Finance to join our dynamic team.
Purpose:
To provide finance support to business in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, data analysis and management reporting tasks that ensure financial information is accurate and available for decision-making. The role forms a key part of the finance skill pool and will collaborate with the Shared Service Centre ("SSC") Record to Report team ("R2R") SA Procurement team, SA Technical and Operations teams. The role will expose the candidate to wide range of challenges and learnings across the business to develop a well-rounded finance professional.
Duties & Responsibilities

  • The role will support the finance business partner, to drive business goals while providing challenge from profitability, risk and compliance perspective
  • Assist user departments in the correct allocation of financial dimensions when raising purchase requisitions, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
  • Perform monthly reconciliations of key operational and capital expenditure accounts, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
  • Assist in the preparation of management reports for business decision making (financial presentations and dashboards for internal stakeholders using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI).
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts by gathering financial data, organizing inputs, and helping analyze variances for accuracy.
  • Support the analysis of budget versus actual performance, identifying discrepancies or trends requiring further investigation.
  • Assist in monitoring financial performance across departments, identifying areas for improvement, and suggesting actions to enhance profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Apply accounting principles in carrying out the above tasks, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform relevant internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance checks to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions.
  • Perform any other tasks as requested by the CFO or Finance Business Partner, in line with the responsibilities outlined above.

Desired Experience & Qualification
Qualifications & Experience Required
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Qualified Chartered accountant (Preferred) with 2 years' experience post articles.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics.
Experience
  • 5 years' experience in a finance related field with proficiency in IFRS.
