Job Description

Job Purpose
To provide financial administrative and office support to the SSC and to ensure the seamless implementation and consistent delivery of services provided by the department to all clients and stakeholders in line with standard accounting policies and procedures as defined by the SSC.
Key Performance Areas

  • Monitor all query workflows through Kofax Total Agility ("KTA") and ensure they are routed to the correct department, responding to first line queries where appropriate.
  • Onboarding of suppliers for SSC
  • Creation of purchase requisitions and purchase orders for the SSC
  • Receipting of purchase orders and submission of invoices for payment
  • Capturing of expense claims for the SSC
  • Provide cover for various areas of the SSC (eg: Accounts Payable queries), as required.
  • Provide administrative support to the SSC office (including responding to e-mails, mail and telephone)
  • Process goods receipts for supplier invoices after receiving approval from the HOD.
  • Submit expense claims to the Finance department as per company policy and procedures.
  • Monitor staff leave as per department norms and company policy.
  • Complete reports / minutes/ presentations / departmental documents and distribute to relevant parties
  • Follow through on outstanding issues and action lists from minutes
  • Process and administer petty cash for the SSC
Education
  • Grade 12
  • Some financial accounting background and preferably studying towards an accounting diploma/degree
Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years administrative / financial functions
