Job Description


We are looking for a Field Team Foreman to fulfill a current vacancy in our JHB Field Operations. This is a critical, hands-on role that demands a proactive, resourceful, and highly responsible individual who can take initiative and lead by example.As a Field Team Foreman, youll be responsible for overseeing installations, maintenance, and relocations in the field xe2x80x94 ensuring that all jobs meet ikejas standards while also leading and organising your team effectively.If youre committed to excellence, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are passionate about delivering top-tier service to our customers, we want to hear from you.Key ResponsibilitiesInstallations & Maintenance

  • Oversee and quality check work carried out by external contractors.
  • Lead and complete installations to standard.
  • Meet targets for jobs related to installs and maintenance.
  • Perform relocations, uninstalls, and loco work.
  • Conduct remounting of poles, reprogramming, and hardware replacement.
  • Fault find and troubleshoot in-field issues.
Team & Operational Oversight
  • Organise and manage daily jobs for your field team.
  • Take responsibility and accountability for team tools and equipment.
  • Act as liaison with HQ management and NOC.
  • Coordinate with Customer Support for scheduling and issue resolution.
  • Interact professionally with customers during visits.
  • Collect installation fees when required.
  • Assist the Field Team Controller with vehicle inspections and readiness.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
  • At least 1 year served in ones current role, if an internal application.
  • Background in wireless, CCTV, DSTV or similar cabling installations.
  • Experience in telecommunications or a related technical field.
  • Proficiency in using tools like drills, ratchets, hammers, allen keys, and crimpers.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet performance targets and deliver excellent service.
  • Advantageous:
  • Experience leading a small team or crew.
  • Living in one of the communities ikeja serves.
