Field Service Technician

to join their dynamic team

based in Boksburg

. This is an exciting opportunity for a technically strong individual who enjoys hands-on technical work, problem-solving, and supporting clients on-site with advanced machinery and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Install, commission, maintain, and repair industrial power tools, automation systems, and instrumentation equipment. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical, mechanical, PLC, and instrumentation faults. Configure, update, and optimise systems using

PLC software

. Conduct calibrations and testing of instrumentation devices and sensors. Provide technical support and training to clients on equipment functionality and safe operation. Perform routine inspections to ensure system performance, accuracy, and compliance. Complete service reports, maintenance documentation, and job cards accurately. Collaborate with internal technical teams to resolve advanced system issues. Local and international travel for installations, commissioning, and client support.

Minimum Requirements

Matric / Grade 12 Essential

A Degree

in Electronic, Robotics or Mechatronics engineering PLC Programming is essential.

2-3 years proven experience

as a Field Service Technician in the automation environment. Valid Driver's Licence Valid Passport (for travel requirements) Good mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics Excellent communication and client-facing skills Ability to work independently and manage field schedules
