Field Sales and Strategic Account Sales Representative
Job Purpose:
To achieve budget sales and profitability results through the effective roll out of strategies for Retail / IDP Pharmacies and
Pharmacy groups, in line with the Bayer Consumer strategy
Develop and implement plans to assist customers to grow and achieve sales targets.
Ensure maximum brand exposure through promotion and business activities as per the marketing plan.
Analyzing sales and customer activity data to monitor progress against objectives and communicate information to Sales
Manager and Brand team; implement corrective action where necessary.
Manage Co Op spend budgets with key customers to ensure maximum return on investment.
Ensure continued and improved customer relationships.
Planning of sales and detailing calls through Repwise.
Measure and achieve call coverage and frequency.
Timeous feedback reports submitted to the HCP Detail and Training Manager.
Attend trade displays and presentations which can involve after hours and weekends when required.
Taking accountability for enhancement of own knowledge pertaining to the role through ongoing research and reading.
Implement Bayer LIFE principles across the business.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Administration
Recording of weekly and monthly planners using the Repwise system.
Ensure a clear understanding of all SOP s and company policies
Complete routine administration tasks on time and accurately.
These include but are not limited to:
Repwise planning
Placing orders
Concur expenses
Attend to emails
Submitting reports (marketing feedback, sample tracke
Teamwork
Ensure effective communication with Trade Marketing, Bayer Sales Teams (Op Leads & KAM's), 3rd Party Sales & Merchandising and the Brand team
Strong sharing of key account initiatives and methods within the Bayer sales team
Reporting
Quarterly reporting of territory performance and strategy Complete reports and projects as required by the SFE manager
Value added
Understand the internal measures by customers to better drive the respective customer performance Jointly identify with Trade Marketing and the Brand Team on any category opportunities that unlock growth against the key Bayer
Point Of Purchase driver
Product detailing (All Bayer Consumer brands)
NPD launches
Distribution
Secondary Placement Execution
Participating in congresses, expos, shows or any other activity required by the company
Ensure you have sufficient knowledge of our Patient Information leaflets and achieve a pass rate of 85% on Bayer internal questionnaires relating to the PIL's.
Qualifications Required:
Must have Matric and a relevant tertiary qualification
A Life Sciences or Health Sciences qualification will be an advantage
Experience in Pharmaceutical is essential
Minimum 3 years relevant Pharmacy OTC and/or Pharmacy Groups /Key Accounts
Experience within a multinational Pharma company preferred
Strong detailing/training skills, negotiation skills, presentation skills,
Good communication skills,
Excellent interpersonal skills and team player.
Excellent customer relationships
Analytical skills and ability to work within budgets
Strong computer skills (MS Office)
