Job Summary Field Guide Award winning high end 5* Game Lodge Limpopo We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Field Guide to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing guests with an unforgettable safari experience while ensuring the safety of both wildlife and visitors. FGSA level 1, 2 and 3 Rangers required. Trails Guide qualifications would be an advantage but not essential for all positions. PDP and Code 10 License. Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication skills. Neat and well presented. Able to work well within a team environment. A valid and current South African guide's license and valid PrDP special driver's license. FGASA Qualification Minimum of NQF 4 and Trails Guide - or back up Trails qualification DEAT Registration (Mpumalanga). Minimum 3 Years Experience as a Field Guide in a Big Five Game Reserve Self-disciplined; punctual and respectful. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for international guests with diverse cultures. Must have an outgoing hosting personality. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for staff, being respectful of their culture. Must be familiar with basic vehicle maintenance in order to communicate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot problems. Must be familiar with how to drive in a variety of on- and off-road conditions. Must be familiar with radio etiquette and able to ensure that radio conversations are kept short and direct, with no unnecessary chatter. Good initiative to cope with difficult situations in a remote environment. A valid first aid training certificate to handle trauma care. Salary Package includes accommodation and meals Gratuities - extra Gratuities: Gratuities received from guests are not included in the employee's salary This is discretionary and separate from the employee's contractual remuneration.
